Residents of a Queensland town more than 800km from Brisbane have been urged to monitor for COVID-19 symptoms after viral fragments were discovered at a local wastewater treatment plant.
Health Minister Yvette DAth on Monday said fragments of the virus that cause COVID-19 had been detected in samples taken from Emerald, in the Central Highlands Region, during routine testing.
