Queensland doctor under police guard after COVID-19 border lie
A Queensland doctor has been fined and detained after he allegedly lied on his border pass and skipped out of quarantine after returning from a coronavirus hotspot in Melbourne.
Police said the Rockhampton doctor, 38, provided misleading information on his border declaration pass when he returned to the state on July 12.
Police fined the doctor $4003 and he is now being held under police guard at a quarantine facility.
