Nearly two decades on from the finale and after months delays, rumours and teasers, the long-awaited Friends reunion will finally air on Thursday.
Austerlitz also told Andrew Bucklow that David Schwimmer actually turned down his iconic Ross Geller Friends role initially to focus on his theatre work.
“David Schwimmer had gotten his start more in the theatrical world. He started a theatre troupe when he was a college student in Chicago. He always felt that theatre was his true love and the place that he most wanted to be,” Austerlitz explained.
