‘Astronomical phenomenon of the year’: Super blood moon rising Wednesday – Sydney Morning Herald
A rare coming together of supermoon and lunar eclipse promises a prime time spectacle.
At 7.44pm, the Earths shadow will start to creep across the moons surface.
By 9.11pm, the entire surface should be in shadow, turning the moon from a ghostly white to a light red, which should last about 15 minutes.
