Manly legend and NRL Immortal Bob Fulton dies aged 73 – Sydney Morning Herald
Bob Fulton, who played 219 games for Manly-Warringah and coached them to two premierships, has died at 73 after a long battle with cancer.
He then joined Easts for two years before turning to coaching. Fulton steered Manly to premierships in 1987 and 1996 and coached Australia from 1989 to 1998.
Fulton was part of the first four players to be granted status as Immortal in 1981, alongside Clive Churchill Reg Gasnier, and Johnny Raper. To be named in the Immortals is the highest honour in Australian rugby league.
Today Rugby League has lost a true legend of our game, Mr Vlandys said.
