Coles is sharpening its claws for an all-out war with big-name pet food brands with the introduction of a premium range, insisting it competes with their nutritional values and costs far less.The supermarket giant seeks to grab a bigger slice of the lucrative market, with general manager for non-food, Jonathan Torr, saying 2019 Animal Medicines Australia research showed the nation’s pet owners were spending $3.6bn on dog and cat food per year.
