Dayle Gordon first visited a doctor when an ulcer in his mouth wouldn’t go away.

A young Victorian man has had half of his tongue removed after receiving a shock diagnosis from a lingering mouth ulcer.
Dayle Gordon was told the ulcer was not of concern when he first visited a doctor in late 2019.
But after it lingered, the 27-year-old was referred to a specialist and later diagnosed with tongue cancer.
He was just shocked and wasnt expecting it to be cancer because of his age, Jessica Sexton, Dayles sister told 7NEWS.com.au.
His whole entire world just turned upside down.
