A vegan mother, 22, who lets her eight-month-old son do something that goes against health advice has sparked fierce debate online.
A vegan mother who lets her eight-month-old son “eat sand” and chew on rocks has defended the move despite it going against general medical advice.
Alice Bender, 22, documents her life raising eight-month-old Fern in a vegan household in Arizona, US.
While Fern is still “exclusively breastfed”, mum Alice revealed on TikTok she lets him “eat” whatever she chooses to put in his mouth.
This includes sticks, rocks, dirt and sand as well as licking “unsanitised shopping carts”.
