Mark McGowan receives death threat at home while family present

A man allegedly threatened to kill West Australian Premier Mark McGowan at his home, while his wife and children were also present.
On April 21 about 8:30pm, Gavin Michael Higgs allegedly went to Mr McGowan’s home in Rockingham, in Perth’s south, and made the threats.
The Premier issued a short statement, saying his wife and children were home at the time.
The ABC understands the threats were made in person, in front of Mr McGowan’s home.
“I want to thank WA Police for their swift response,” Mr McGowan said.
“My whole family was there at the time, but everyone is OK and that’s the main thing.”
Mr Higgs was remanded in custody at his first appearance on April 22, but today was granted bail.
