Woman died after her employer requested a CT scan she didn’t need

Senior Melbourne executive Peta Hickey was a perfectly healthy woman when her employer sent her for a heart scan.

She died eight days later.

A coronial inquest is looking at the setup of the corporate heart check program that ultimately led to her death.

Despite not having any heart problems, Ms Hickey was referred for a CT scan in May 2019, the Coroners Court of Victoria heard.
