Students say University of Wollongong mishandled sex offence claims, discouraged reporting

Two students have criticised a New South Wales university for failing to adequately support them after they reported being assaulted while living on campus.

- A former UOW student says staff told her it would be “tougher” for her if she reported an assault allegation to police
- A student who was sexually assaulted in 2016 says she was booted off campus after she attempted to take her own life
