Rupert Murdoch’s NSW wool property Cavan Station signs $500,000 carbon deal with Microsoft

A historic wool property owned by Rupert Murdoch has signed a $500,000 deal to sell carbon credits to Microsoft Corporation.

Wool has been grown on Cavan Station near Yass in southern New South Wales since 1820 and it was one of the pioneer studs in the fine-wool industry.

Bought by Murdoch in the mid-1960s, the 20,000-hectare property is being used for a new type of innovation within the regenerative agriculture field.
