Two Brisbane hospitals and aged care systems impacted after cyberattack

IT systems at two Brisbane hospitals and several aged care facilities remained crippled on Tuesday, two days after their operator was hit by a cyberattack, forcing staff to switch to manual processes.
It remained unknown when the UnitingCare facilities, including the Wesley and St Andrews War Memorial hospitals, would have their systems restored after Sunday’s attack.

UnitingCare’s operational systems, including internal staff email and patient operation booking, were impacted.
UnitingCare notified the Australian Cyber Security Centre of the incident and were continuing to investigate the attack.
