BlazeAid’s migrant volunteers help to rebuild fences after Blackford bushfire
The cold, rainy conditions greeting volunteers near Blackford, South Australia, couldn’t be more different to those that sparked a raging inferno in the area fire at the start of the year.
Despite the chill, cars filled with passengers in fluorescent jackets roll onto an Avenue Range property.
The farm was one of many impacted by the blaze, which destroyed 14,000 hectares of land and threatened the Lucindale township in January.
Since then, BlazeAid has been camped out at Lucindale’s Yakka Park, helping to rebuild.
