Ardent Leisure faces charges over Dreamworld ride tragedy
The parent company of embattled Gold Coast theme park Dreamworld has been charged over the 2016 Thunder River Rapids ride tragedy.
In a statement to the ASX on Tuesday, Ardent Leisure confirmed it was facing prosecution over three offences and a possible fine of $4.5 million.
It comes five months after Queensland Coroner James McDougall handed down his damning 274-page report into the fatal incident, which he described as an accident waiting to happen.
