Philippines beefs up military muscle in wake of alleged Chinese aggression in South China Sea

The Philippines government is beefing up its military presence in the South China Sea in response to what Manila says is increasing Chinese aggression. 

In recent weeks, Manila said it has witnessed greater belligerence by Chinese vessels in its near 322-kilometre Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), despite four years of an attempted rapprochement with historic rival China.
