BHP, the nations biggest miner, has reported record-breaking output of iron ore from its mines in Western Australia as the soaring price of the steel-making raw material approaches $US190 a tonne.
During the three months to March 31, BHP shipped 66 million tonnes of iron ore from WAs Pilbara, 2 per cent less than the same period last year.
