Woman describes how she rescued toddler from dingo on Fraser Island

A woman said she heard a child’s screams before she ran outside and rescued a two-year-old boy who was being attacked by a growling dingo on Fraser Island at the weekend.
The boy suffered deep puncture wounds to his neck, arm and leg and was airlifted to Bundaberg Hospital following the attack on Saturday morning.
It was believed the boy had wandered a short distance from an Orchid Beach rental house in which his family was staying before encountering the animal.
Investigations were continuing into the incident with witness reports still being compiled.
The boy had dirt on him and was believed to have been dragged by the dingo.
