Cyclone Seroja power cuts linger for farmers, sparking fears of rural water shortage
Farmers in Western Australia’s Mid West who are without power after Tropical Cyclone Seroja have warned they could run out of water for their livestock.

More than 30,000 properties lost power after the category three cyclone tore through the Mid West on Sunday evening, and while electricity has been restored to some homes, farmers say they are facing a long wait until power is restored.
On some farms, such as Mingenew farmer Hellene McTaggart’s property, power is essential for pumping water for her cattle.
