Russias official coronavirus death toll should be taken with a grain of salt.The superpower struggling to keep a lid on surging COVID-19 cases has resorted to fudging the figures in a way that few other countries have attempted.
An investigation carried out by The New York Times makes for embarrassing reading for President Vladimir Putin and Russian authorities who have tried but failed to pull the wool over the world’s eyes.
