Australian mum’s heartbreak as daughter dies in her arms after neuroblastoma battle

Six-year-old Tiana Hurley was a cheeky, sassy little girl who wanted to be a teacher when she grew up.

But on Friday night, as she lay in her mother’s arms at the Queensland Children’s Hospital, her life was cut tragically short.

“We went through absolute hell and back,” Tiana’s mum Lynette told 7NEWS.com.au.

“I sat by her side the entire time.”

At the age of just two, Tiana was diagnosed with neuroblastoma – a cancer often found in the kidneys and most common in young children.
