On trial for sharing footage of Christchurch massacre

A Queensland man allegedly described a graphic video of the Christchurch mosque massacre as “fun for the whole family”.
Simon John Hickey is on trial accused of using encrypted messaging app Signal to send links of the footage to five contacts on March 31, 2019, just weeks after the attack occurred.
He has been charged with publishing it on his website.
Hickey is pleading not guilty to the charges.
