Melbourne Victory beats Sydney FC 1-0 to win W-League grand final in extra time

A desperate goal to Kyra Cooney-Cross in the dying stages of extra time has given Melbourne Victory a 1-0 win over Sydney FC in a tense W-League grand final at Kogarah Oval.
After the two sides were deadlocked at 0-0 following regulation time, a winner still could not be found in the extra periods until Cooney-Cross sent the ball into the back of the net.
It is the Victory’s second W-League championship and their first since the 2013/14 season.
More to come.
