Fraser and Sunshine coasts brace for a battering

Queensland’s Fraser and Sunshine coasts are expected to be battered by torrential rain within hours, with the weather bureau warning that up to 250 millimetres could fall in a six-hour period.

The coastal trough responsible for the wet Easter weekend was slowly moving south and was predicted to reach the Greater Brisbane area on Monday, with up to 120 millimetres forecast.
