Anxious wait as Greater Brisbane lockdown decision looms
Easter plans for millions of Queenslanders and interstate travellers remain on hold ahead of a decision on the Greater Brisbane lockdown.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk will at 9am on Thursday decide if the three-day shutdown of the major city will be lifted later that same day.
Infectious disease experts had widely tipped an extension to the lockdown, but the Sunshine State reported just two new locally acquired cases on Wednesday, with minimal community transmission occurring amid the declining infection rate growth.
