An arm’s length investigation is needed to sort out the blood clot issue plaguing the AstraZeneca vaccine, say medical experts.
It also applied to those with heparin-induced thrombocytopenia, who have an adverse immune reaction to the drug heparin and their platelet function is affected.
ATAGI reassured people there was no evidence of risk for those with a history of other clotting conditions and recommended the jabs for a list for conditions including deep venous thrombosis, a clot in the lung and low platelets.
