A woman accused of murdering a farmer searched suicide and murder methods online for almost six months before his death in the New England region of NSW, a jury has heard.

On the trial opening day at Sydney’s Supreme Court, the Crown alleged Natasha Darcy killed her partner, Walcha sheep farmer Mathew Dunbar in 2017 and tried to make it look like a suicide.

Ms Darcy pleaded not guilty to murder but guilty to aiding and abetting Mr Dunbar’s suicide — a plea the Crown rejected.
