Qld records one new local coronavirus case
Queensland has recorded one new locally transmitted coronavirus case in the past 24 hours.
Sunday’s new case is the brother of one of the people who previously tested positive in the Brisbane metropolitan area.
It comes after a 26-year-old man tested positive to COVID-19 earlier in the week, and likely passed it onto a friend.
Health officials have confirmed the highly contagious UK strain of coronavirus is behind the outbreak.
