Adelaide teens charged with assault after Hindley Street convenience store worker stabbed

Two teenage girls have been charged over the stabbing of a convenience store worker in Adelaide’s CBD overnight.

Police and paramedics were called to the store, the Hindley Street Express Supermarket, just after 1:00am.

A 15-year-old from Auldana and a 16-year-old from Cumberland Park were allegedly in a back room when one of them stabbed the man in the back with what police described as a small knife.

They then allegedly fled the scene and were arrested nearby.

Police say one was found in the bathroom of a nearby business.
