Parts of Sydney’s north evacuated amid major flood risk as wild weather set to continue
Parts of Sydney’s north-west have been ordered to evacuate overnight amid a major flooding risk in low-lying areas of the Hawkesbury-Nepean River.

- The NSW SES has received 6,000 calls for help so far, with 640 overnight
- Two bushwalkers were rescued in the Blue Mountains after they were trapped
- The flood crisis will likely continue until Thursday as the trough moves south
The NSW State Emergency Service (SES) is ordering anyone in low lying areas of Agnes Banks, Pitt Town Bottoms, Pitt Town North, Cornwallis, Grono’s Point on the Hawkesbury and low-lying areas of North Richmond to evacuate.
Another order was issued for Freeman’s Reach along the Hawkesbury.
