The judge found Sam Burgess’ former father-in-law Mitchell Hooke’s version of events could not be proven beyond reasonable doubt.
Ex-NRL star Sam Burgess, who was accused of intimidating his former father-in-law Mitchell Hooke during an altercation, has had his conviction overturned on appeal in the NSW District Court.
Burgess was last month found guilty of intimidation following an argument at Mr Hookes property in the Southern Highlands in October 2019.
