Australian sharemarket shrugs off positive US lead, lift from strong domestic jobs figures only temporary

The Australian sharemarket underperformed leads from overseas markets and a slight lift from better-than-expected domestic unemployment figures didnt stick, but gold stocks shone.The S&P/ASX 200 finished 0.73 per cent lower at 6745.9 while the All Ordinaries Index fell 0.63 per cent to 7003.6.
