‘Game of Thrones’ prequel actress says ‘House of the Dragon’ will not depict gratuitous violence against women

Actress Olivia Cooke revealed that the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel series, House of the Dragon, will take a very different approach with its depiction of women. The show is based on HBO’s immensely popular series Game of Thrones, which aired its final episode in May of 2019. Since that time, the network has greenlit a prequel series based on author George R.R. Martin’s companion book Fire & Blood that’s set 300 years before the events of the original show.
