Wet start over Brisbane, Northern Rivers
A wide band of rain has brought dozens of millimetres of liquid gold to parts of Queensland and NSW on Tuesday.
In a wet start to the day, at least 27mm fell in Bowen Hills in Brisbane city before 7am as a wide band of rain stretching from the northern suburbs down into northern NSW moved to sea.
Uki, on the Tweed River, has recorded 116mm since 9am on Monday.
Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Matt Marshall said more rain was possible throughout Tuesday morning before thunderstorms moved in later in the evening.
