Qld premier says Morrison government making up excuses to not support quarantine solution

The Queensland Premier is frustrated by Scott Morrison’s reluctance to commit to a purpose-built quarantine facility outside of Toowoomba, labelling the Prime Minister’s reservations an “excuse”.
The 1000-bed site proposed by the Palaszczuk government would be based on the outskirts of the regional city and paid for by construction company Wagners.
But the project is unable to go ahead without the approval of the federal government, which has consistently voiced its preference to host overseas travellers in centralised hotels.
