Queensland detects largest rise in COVID-19 cases since lockdown

Queensland has recorded the largest single-day rise in COVID-19 cases since Brisbane was forced into a three-day lockdown in January.
Seven new cases, all detected in hotel quarantine, were added to the state’s tally on Thursday, the most cases in a day since January 8 when nine new cases were detected.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk confirmed no new local cases had been detected, marking the 56th consecutive day since an infectious person was out in the community.
