Home lending hits record highs as Aussies commit to mortgages

Home lending has hit an all-time high with the latest figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) showing new home lending hit a record $28.75 billion in January, up 44 per cent year-on-year, and up 10.5 per cent from the month prior.The total value of owner-occupier home loans settled in January was at a record high of $22.11 billion, up 52 per cent year-on-year and 11 per cent higher than the previous month.
