A batch of rice seeds brought back by the Chang’e-5 spacecraft grow in labs and test land in South China Agricultural University.
The Chang’e-5 lunar probe started its 23-day space travel with a variety of plant seeds on November 24, 2020, including 40-gram rice seeds. These seeds traveled through Van Allen Belts and encountered violent sunspot activity during the trip. Finally, they landed on Earth successfully with the spacecraft.
