Man charged over Robyn Beever murder

An elderly Gold Coast man has been charged over the alleged murder of his wife.
After receiving a tip off, police attended a Varsity Lakes home at 1.30pm on Thursday, where they found an 82-year-old woman deceased inside.
She has since been identified as Robyn Beever.
An 82-year-old man, her husband Max, was taken to the Gold Coast Hospital where he remains under police guard with “non-life threatening” injuries.
Overnight, police charged him with one count of murder.
Pending hospital clearance, he is due to appear in Southport Magistrates…
