Woman found dead, man injured after police conduct welfare check
Police have made a grisly find after conducting a welfare check at a house on the Gold Coast on Thursday afternoon.
Officers entered the house to find an elderly woman dead and an elderly man with “non-life threatening” injuries.
The woman was discovered in a Varsity Lakes home around 1.30pm after a tip-off.
At the same address an elderly man was found to have sustained injuries, and he was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital, police said.
