Local students boost enrolments at Queensland’s universities

“Our overall [continuing and new] international student enrolments are currently down 27.5 per cent – from 1621 at this time last year to 1176 now,” Professor Bartlett said. “That’s a fall of 445 students. Whereas our domestic numbers have increased by a lot more than that.”
The new campus’s domestic enrolments have jumped by more than 45 per cent, she said.
“School-leavers’ enrolments are up 45.2 per cent on this time last year, from 1325 to 1924,” Professor Bartlett said.
“Non school-leaver enrolments are also up 6.8 per cent, from 3154 last year to 3370 this year.”
The most popular degrees for domestic students at the Moreton campus were in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine – up 23.9 per cent….
