The makers of Kleenex flushable wipes will have to pay a $200,000 fine after the Federal Court found they falsely told customers the products were manufactured in Australia.

  • The use of the logo was found to be misleading as the wipes are imported
  • Kimberley-Clark said the logo appeared on the flushable wipes mistakenly, due to a publishing error
  • The ACCC’s separate claim that the wipes weren’t suitable to be flushed has previously been dismissed by the court
