Ben Simmons continues to set new Aussie standards in the NBA creating a scoring record with a career-high 42 points for the Philadelphia 76ers with the Tokyo Olympics just five months away.Simmons was at his brilliant best despite his 76ers suffering a 134-123 loss to Joe Ingles’ Utah Jazz in a scoring spree on Tuesday.
The Melbourne-born guard had 15 points with three minutes left in the first quarter before finishing with a whopping 42 – the most points scored by an Australian in an NBA game.
