Drug-affected former Buddhist monk Baramee Janorat jailed over deadly Victorian crash

A former Buddhist monk who was high on ice when he killed two Victorian grandparents in a horror smash has been jailed for 12 years.

Baramee Janorat, 24, will spend at least seven years behind bars after being sentenced in Victoria’s County Court over the crash which killed Robert and Lynette Anderson in October 2019.

Judge Rosemary Carlin said Janorat, who was on his probationary driver’s licence when he killed the couple, would be serving a lengthy sentence.
