Broekhoff didnt travel with the 76ers to Florida on Sunday, opting to stay home and reveal his wifes situation via a tweet.
I am not with the 76ers right now in Orlando because my wife who is high risk tested positive for COVID, Broekhoff said.
We have a young son and my focus needs to be with my family at this time. I appreciate the 76ers for their support.

Broekhoffs wife has an autoimmune disease, so he had to put her health before basketball.
After being waived by Dallas in February, the Boomers star signed with fellow Australian Ben Simmons at Philadelphia in late June.
Broekhoffs absence is a blow for the 76ers given his versatility and strong shooting stroke from beyond the arc.
The 29-year-old played in 59 games for the Dallas Mavericks over the last two seasons, shooting 40.3 percent from three-point range.
He averaged 4.0 points, 1.8 rebounds and 10.7 minutes with the Mavericks in the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons.
The NBA season will restart in Orlando on July 30 with 22 teams competing. Each team will play eight regular season matches to determine the final seedings before the playoffs begin.
