Nick Kyrgios goes down to Dominic Thiem in five-set Australian Open epic
Nick Kyrgios claimed the opening two sets but was unable to prevent world number three Dominic Thiem from fighting back to record a dramatic five-set win in their Australian Open third-round clash at Melbourne.

- The Austrian then won the final two sets to book a berth in the last 16
Kyrgios seemed on the verge of victory after winning the second set, however Thiem produced a stunning comeback to triumph 4-6, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 in three hours and 21 minutes on John Cain Arena.
Thiem, last year’s runner-up, will play 18th seed Grigor Dimitrov in the fourth round.
