Coaches have agreed that teams must score a try in order to claim victory in extra time of Super Rugby AU matches this year.
Rugby Australia has confirmed that penalties and drop goals will be banned in Super Rugby AU extra time in order to promote free-flowing rugby in the event of matches being tied after 80 minutes.
Ahead of the first round of the competition next Friday, when the Waratahs have a clash against the Queensland Reds and the Brumbies travel away to tackle the Western Force, RA this week announced a number of slight tweaks to the laws of its domestic tournament.
