Rugby Australia has confirmed that penalties and drop goals will be banned in Super Rugby AU extra time in order to promote free-flowing rugby in the event of matches being tied after 80 minutes.
Ahead of the first round of the competition next Friday, when the Waratahs have a clash against the Queensland Reds and the Brumbies travel away to tackle the Western Force, RA this week announced a number of slight tweaks to the laws of its domestic tournament.
