Port Douglas crocodile found dead, entangled in ropes in far north Queensland

The carcass of a massive and “iconic” crocodile has been pulled from far north Queensland waters after becoming entangled in ropes.
But nobody will be held responsible for the death of the saltwater crocodile, estimated to have been between 4.2m and 4.5m.
The croc is believed to have drowned in Dickson Inlet in Port Douglas after it had become “tangled in a crab pot and vessel mooring lines”, the state environment department said.
