Australian sharemarket dragged lower by banks but Macquarie bucks trend

The Australian sharemarket pulled back despite another record high on Wall Street, with banks dragging the local bourse lower, although Macquarie Group bucked the trend.The S&P/ASX200 dropped 0.86 per cent to 6821.2 while the All Ordinaries Index shed 0.82 per cent to 7102.1.
