Qld cop tasked with bringing youth crime wave under control

Youth crime in Queensland continues to be a point of contention in the state with Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk today promising “very strong action” against young offenders.
“The community expects us to do more and that is exactly what we will do,” she said.
Ms Palaszczuk revealed almost half of youth crime in the state was being committed by just 10 per cent of offenders.
The group of 400 young offenders are allegedly responsible for 48 per cent of crime across Queensland.
